Giuseppe M.Codazzi "JAZZ" with a tribute to Henghel Gualdi - photo exhibition

“Jazz”: an exhibition of the photographer Giuseppe Maria Codazzi that, not the case for, arrives in San Martino in Rio, in the magnificent halls of the Rocca Estense, to illustrate with shots, strictly black and white, the inner landscapes of famous jazz musicians, including Henghel Gualdi.

A selection of photographs, enriched by a group dedicated to the famous clarinetist Sammartinese, to be read in a double vision: its symbolic value for the symbiosis between the world of the jazz and the figure of Henghel and the author's subjective vision in the interweaving of images that you make story and journey where the music and the many characters, that there are no more, They live and continue to live for our eyes.

Jazz is there, hidden among the photographs between the characters, all celebrated, to emotions and memories, to places, in atmospheres, improvisations and musical geographies, we already knew and lived by listening to certain songs Gualdi.

And so a fragment after another, through the lens, This exceptional heritage consists of the great names of the jazz world, all "passed" in Reggio Emilia theaters, in the club or in the various festivals, a set of characteristics, unique and exclusive, a view that also helps us to understand who was Henghel, where was his passion that still is not dispersed and we review in Codazzi images.

I am convinced that the artistic dialectic of this photographer, whose narrative is evocative and powerful, will appeal to our audience, dip it into a reality that goes beyond the physical boundaries of the image and, investigation through the faces, the instruments, will create the visual spectacle that well will seize the fans of jazz music, and not only.

The hope is that this exhibition is visited and appreciated by young people - we will work as our habit with the school - so that they can learn an important and very meaningful segment of the music world.

Our Henghel Gualdi, so that held us to teach kids the love for jazz, It would be so glad as we are to "stimulate", thanks to the tribute to Giuseppe Maria Codazzi, once again his memory of prominent clarinetist in the jazz scene, the clarinet icon, "You must go on, generations pass evolving and transforming itself according to the times, however, recognizing, sempre, the origins of which are also one of the elements that allow us to think about tomorrow ".
